In this video I discuss how toget analog audio into the computer in a more theoretical way.
DAC/ADC are the important parts here and these are to be found on either a soundcard or audio device (USB/FW). There are other ways, you can use digital mixers (these have those converters), ADAT devices, ... but these are probably beyond our budget considerations. Feel free to check them out if you make a lot of money. :-)
To manage more inputs you can use either audio device with more inputs (unless two are enough for you) or mixing console connected to the audio device. Whatever works for you.
